Odd thing too.. his friend was talking about moving and is looking for a place. Everything he is looking for.. we have. He's also a gardening geek and flipped when my husband told him we have raised beds. The disc golfing carpool would remain intact, our place is closer to work and friends than the one he is looking at.. talk about a big ol' sign.

Leave it to me to put the cart before the horse. Coincidence..

Just *if* it happens.. I need to be there in time to prep and plant.

Keep fingers crossed.. needing some luck here. There isn't really a rush.. but moving + snow = not fun.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17159095601570766616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4969984002125158749.post-82688580574407107732010-09-08T21:19:21.221-05:002010-09-08T21:19:21.221-05:00Hmmmm

I would say do it if there is anyway you can but then again I am a doomer preppy who thinks it's gonna be the ruralites vs. the Urbanites soon...

So ya I am biased :)PioneerPreppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09269878017447335944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4969984002125158749.post-23864580367785799362010-09-08T12:55:57.328-05:002010-09-08T12:55:57.328-05:00LOL investments... oh I used to have those. Barely...LOL investments... oh I used to have those. Barely 20 and I thought I had my retirement nest egg taken situated. Due to young age, and my stupidity, I was talked into more "aggressive" investing. Let's just say my portfolio saw more shrinkage than the polar bear club in January. The more "secure" investment was the house.. HAHAHA.
The only upside is IF we could get this place situated to rent. Can't sell it as everyone here is upside down. Our mortgage is only 1/2 of what the average rent is for the same model. Moving cost, replacing 2 windows, recarpeting, painting, etc. even though we can do all of that ourselves.. not financially able.
College fund is sacrosanct.
We had a long long painful fall.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17159095601570766616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4969984002125158749.post-56492852328658664082010-09-07T15:33:00.342-05:002010-09-07T15:33:00.342-05:00Are the farms paid for?

Of course what will the brothers and/or sisters want if heaven forbid it came time to split the place up?

Rural is always better for your children IMO and should always have a nice Irish A$$ hanging around somewhere anyway.PioneerPreppyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09269878017447335944noreply@blogger.com
